#207 Soulful Creating & Transmitting the Energy of an Offering

When we choose to take our work deeper and bring others into it, some inquiries arise:

How do we create offerings that forward our message and mission, that are thought leadership, personified?

How do we share in ways that help people feel our offering and that light our fire and keep it burning?

And when what we’re creating is so potent and felt, how do we convey it CLEARLY?

Recording this episode with my friend Ahava Shira — author, memoirist and creative midwife — became a transmission of energy, of feeling. We don’t just tell you things, we’ll help you feel what it is to breathe life into your work, to commune with the soul of your offerings and to channel that into sharing.

I share:

  • Co-creating with the souls of Rooted and TendHer

  • What it means to create on a felt level versus an intellectual level

  • How we share without losing that felt sense and bring people inside that feeling

  • How we talk about our work clearly without losing the beauty of the language

Mentioned in This Episode:

When Ahava and I completed recording, I felt creative and open, like I’d just taken a bath with candles and music of my ancestors.

I felt rooted.

…which is the familiar and beautiful place I’ve been creating from lately, as creating has become an almost spiritual practice.

Ahava is an author, memoirist and poet tending herself as she cares for her husband of 22 years who has Parkinson's.

Her work in the world for decades has been as a creative midwife to other writers, helping them develop the courage and confidence to tell their stories and share them with others. But Ahava’s deep and challenging immersion into caregiving brought another mission and message forward — a pull to support others in similar experiences, which became her program TendHer.

Ahava and I have been circling and masterminding this year, finding such RESONANCE in each other’s shares as we birth our programs, TendHer and Rooted.

In episode 208 of Quiet Messenger, we don’t just tell you things, we’ll help you feel what it is to breathe life into your work, to commune with the soul of your offerings and to channel that into sharing.

xoxo

p.s. As we wind through this exploration, you’ll hear me talk a lot about Rooted (that is, the Rooted Collective). I’ll be sharing more about it in October!
