#93 How to Word Your Niche So Potential Clients Get It

If people don’t get what you do, they won’t pay you.Plus, if it’s not easily repeatable, colleagues and friends can’t send others your way.Last week, I helped you communicate why your work is worth paying for.

In today’s episode, I’m picking up where I left off with another level of practical guidance on crafting your messaging. But this time we’re honing in on the actual words you use.

And answering another listener question:

A challenge I have is answering “what do you do” at a networking event where the expected answer is a quick 1-3 word label like, "I'm a fitness coach" (vs. "I help rising professionals lose weight so they feel confident in their business clothes"). But when I use the quick 'label,' I find people assume I do something completely different.
