A Council of Introverted Activists, Quiet Creators
& Soulful Rebels
8-Month Mastermind
4-8 Women & Non-Binary Folks
Starts November 2023
Enrollment Closes October 11th
Imagine a world where Quiet Leaders are stealth warriors shifting systems.
Imagine feeling ALIVE when you share online, in a world where business owners are thought leaders speaking up for a change they want to see.
Imagine being so ROOTED, so clear and in deep connection with your work in the world, that you can show up and do the hard parts. (Because, let’s be real, there are lots of hard parts.)
Imagine being part of an intimate circle with other quiet leaders, learning from each other’s ways of leadership, dreaming up new ways together, feeling NOT ALONE in your experience.
Imagine that you — and me, and the others in our circle — BECOME the models of quiet leadership, the example that others can look to.
As business owners, we’re taught not to waste time on “frivolous” activities, to only create for the sake of conversion and to focus on the money-making tasks…
But, for many of us, this means a slow dampening of the spark that led us down this path in the first place.
In my business, I mentor and guide thought leaders.
But even when I contract for other organizations to do straight-up business coaching, I’ve seen it time and time again with clients…
As we’re clarifying the topic of their signature talk or honing in on their niche, we come to the core of why they’re doing this work — the change they want to call forward in the world.
And I see something visibly shift in them.
A fire light behind their eyes, in their posture, in the tonation of their voice. Shoulders back, steady gaze, lower more resonant voice. I can feel the energy flowing through them, even across a zoom screen, up from the ground through their body and back down.
They feel more Rooted. Grounded, anchored in their mission and themselves.
Connecting to our activism — our Quiet Leadership — can rekindle the flames of our work.
And those flames are what many of us actually NEED to grow and evolve our business – alongside our leadership.
The folks I work with have BIG messages.
Some have developed methodologies, added fresh insights to their field or are doing something pretty unique in their work.
Some of them know their work will break patterns formed over generations, help undo internalized cultures of oppression.
Some of them have a background in social justice or human rights or are already talking about wider societal issues like racism, sexism and climate change…but maybe not as clearly or as much as they’d like to.
Some of them have a strong activist lean, but have never named it “activism” — because it doesn’t look like the cultural norm.
And yet…
They may have felt like they’re skirting around the real depth of their work.
Now they’re ready to go there. To go to the depths.
But it can feel edgy to actually TALK about our revolutionary perspectives.
We’re worried about doing it wrong and getting called out.
Plus, where to focus... and how to articulate it? Okay so how do I actually communicate this?
When we’re so close to our work, it can feel hard to find the connecting thread.
And when we’re in the messy swirl of evolving, we just want it to feel CLEAR so we can move forward.
Introducing
The Rooted
Collective is…..
An 8-month intimate mastermind for quiet leaders who’ve been doing their work for awhile and know how to run their business but want to reconnect to their voice and breathe soul back into their work.
As we sink deeper into our message and mission, we’ll become ROOTED in ourselves and our leadership and cultivate the courage to continue to speak the truths that are ours to share.
Part story, messaging & voice.
Part HOW you work & unhooking from productivity culture.
Part how lineage informs your work.
Part introverted activism.
Part rekindling passion for your work.
Together we’ll explore:
Different models for quiet leadership
Clearly expressing our true message and voice
Critical analysis around business practices
Honoring neurodiversity* & unmasking
Ancestral work as a means to heal & ground our voices
Introverted activism (which isn’t just for introverts) & infusing our values into our work
There aren’t many spaces where all these aspects are brought together, where quiet folks are activating their leadership and banding together to both become role models expanding the definition of leadership and moving our world forward.
And of course we’ll also be doing the more tangible messaging work together, building out the soulful true message you’re here to share!
*This program is neurodiversity-affirming and neurodivergent-led.

THE PROBLEM IS…
So often quiet folks are left out of leadership.
(Or worse, we don’t even see ourselves as leaders.)
We are used to being in spaces where the people who are the loudest and fastest get the most support or recognition. Where the only facet of leadership we see is the loud, outspoken, quick-to-act activists.
So the quiet ones try to keep up, running themselves into the ground putting on an extroverted mask to get their message out there without being ignored.
But you can change the world without changing who you are.
If you’re fed up with the traditional norms around leadership and ready to explore different ways of expressing yourself and sharing your voice with the world, you’re in the right place.
WHY DO THIS IN A GROUP
The Power of Coming Together
When you’re an entrepreneur, it can feel lonely, even if you’re an introvert. (Maybe especially for introverts because we often don’t seek out the company of others and thus can have smaller support networks.)
Sharing doesn’t just happen for quiet folks and introverts. Body doubling, accountability and others in it with you can actually help you to do the visibility things – instead of just trying to hermit yourself. ;)
You’ll have kindred souls to brainstorm with, to run by where you’re stuck, to do a group cry with or to see what’s possible when you can’t see it for yourself.
Graduates of my programs say:
Meet Catie, Nursing Professor + Champion for Gen X’ers Navigating Aging Parents
Catie Chung was conflicted and drained from feeling obligated to push 'publish' on content that didn't capture the depth of what she had to say. She found her way to follow her own soul-centered nudges and write and speak from a place of heart, vulnerability & truth to connect with her people and create in a way that nourishes, not depletes, her.
“It felt like soul work. Very powerful & cathartic. Like I was growing by leaps & bounds...and my life experiences were converging. Adria’s calmness and 'we will figure it out together' attitude is so soothing! She is accessible, relatable, warm, open-hearted, helpful and her caring shines through. I have taken a lot of business courses and I knew I needed a more guided experience to get my messaging where I wanted it. I now have a ton more confidence that my work is needed in the world and the integrity of my message can be heard among the noise online."
Meet Kat, ADHD Money Coach + Neurodiversity Advocate
Kat Frogosa began to see her sensitivity and empath nature as a superpower rather than a weakness. She let go of needing to sound “cooler” to be heard. She realized that she could be a quiet person AND a disruptor, and she gave herself permission to just be herself.
“Adria gets my introvert nature and understands sensitive humans. She encouraged me to be my authentic self in my messaging and created a safe space to push myself with her loving and compassionate guidance. The hotseat calls were exceptional. Getting Adria’s eyes on my work was priceless. I found a group of women who were not only great sounding boards, but genuinely great souls. We lifted each other up through some difficult life events over the five months, all while working on our Messenger work. How awesome is that?! Adria’s program has sparked the passion I've had for this work in a way I haven't seen any other program do."
Meet Nani, Human Design Practitioner + Author of Human Design for Moms
Nani Chesire had spent several years building community and had this deep knowing and desire to get her message out in the world but felt uninspired, burned out, overwhelmed and alone. She had lots of ideas and written content, but she was spinning - completely stuck. Once she had the thread that tied it all together, she was finally able to write & publish the book that had been in her for years.
“Going through Adria’s mastermind was my jumping-off point for my book. I love Adria's ability to hear the most important pieces of what you are saying. It helped me get to the heart of what matters to me and what I’m here to share with the world. I have tried several ways of becoming clear over the last five years, and working with Adria was the only one that worked for me. In the past, I could answer the deep questions but didn't know what to do with it. Adria helped me literally piece it all together with ease. I finally found the clarity I was searching for.”
I’m Adria Sophia
(she/her), shy TEDx speaker, neurodivergent podcaster, great-granddaughter of Sophie & Antonia and mentor to quiet leaders.
I’ve spent the past decade honing what it means to be a quiet – and potent – leader and led 7 years of intimate masterminds helping sensitive, introverted or neurodivergent coaches and business owners do the same. I’ve helped hundreds get clarity on what they’re here to say and clarify their soul message (and messaging).
My experience comes not just from supporting other Messengers but also from being a Messenger. I’m a TEDx speaker with 8+ years hosting a podcast that plays a meaningful role in listeners’ lives, and I’ve been interviewed over 50 times.
My work integrates key branding, copywriting, and marketing principles together with my user experience (UE) background from my architecture & design past and a healthy dose of natural intuitive firepower and women’s leadership training.
AND I hold a capitalism-critical lens to traditional business principles, actively casting out hustle culture, questioning standard practices, and offering guidance based in our humanity — while recognizing that we are still working within existing systems and our work is our livelihood.
My work often weaves in ancestral connection because our lineage informs how we show up as leaders, for better or worse.
I’m also a community-loving introvert & AuDHDer (Autistic + ADHD) of Ukrainian lineage living a nomadic lifestyle and exploring what it means to do work, business and life differently. Somewhere along the way, you’ll probably meet my dobie Lexi and the campervan my partner and I affectionately call “the dobervan.”
This is a gathering of peers, and I’m in it with you.
This isn’t about me having all the answers. This is about me asking the right questions and being in the inquiry together, crowdsourcing our shared depth of wisdom.
And yes, I do have experience and expertise we’ll draw on. I’ll be there holding the space and helping you clarify what’s evolving, bringing forward that depth.
You’ll be in community with other quiet leaders who are used to sharing their voices, but who want to be bolder in their messages and mission and align their work with where they and the world are now.
When do we start?
Our group begins in the Winter of 2023 (for Northern Hemisphere folks), the time of year when our natural rhythms often turn inward and we intuitively slow down. (A fantastic gift quiet folks have to teach the ever-moving, hectic world.)
We’ll grow our metaphorical roots below the soil so that when we get to the flush of Spring we’re ready to step into the world with our leadership.
This doesn’t necessarily mean going silent – we are, after all, a group to support each others' voices. What it may mean is giving yourself permission to be with your own rhythms.
Call Schedule: We’ll do a doodle poll to choose our exact call time, but our calls will fall sometime on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 10-3pm PST.
TLDR:
8 Months.
Intimate cohort of 4-8.
Starts in November 2023.
Calls held during the day on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
The Breakdown
-
First comes the reset.
We’ll lay a stable foundation to give you the breathing space to reconnect to your creative self (which may be gasping for air) and determine which creative season you’re in.
We’ll remove the pressure from your work, a precursor to unhooking from biz culture and reclaiming enthusiasm, and release ourselves to follow sparks and begin to kindle the flame.
-
We’ll clarify the next evolution of your work and message, where the fire and truth is for you right now. (While clarifying messaging will happen throughout the program, think of this as the straight-up “messaging” section.)
We may metaphorically burn down what was there before so we can intentionally add back in what feels true for you right now.
We’ll define your contribution, your corner of responsibility in the big picture. And we’ll begin to clearly communicate the change you want to make (and for whom) in your evolving messaging.
-
Now comes digging into some more business-y aspects of our work and turning them on their head.
We’ll look critically at standard marketing practices, identify what needs to shift to be in alignment with our values.
We’ll cultivate connection to the Soul of Our Work (h/t Nisha Moodley & Hiro Boga). We’ll identify how our real capacity differs from the lies we’ve been told by hustle culture – and map out what healthy visibility looks like for us.
-
We’ll unpack the stories we’ve been told, how they impact our relationship to our voice, and which ones we’re ready to let go of.
We’ll write the story of our ancestors (which aren’t limited to blood relatives), what we’re here to heal in our lineage and how that can ripple out into the world.
We’ll develop a spiritual practice in connection with our work, calling on our ancestors to support us and give us the strength and courage to speak up.
-
Finally, we’ll integrate the rekindled passion, clarity of message, rebuilt visibility structure and ancestral connection, all together into your path forward as a Quiet Leader.
We’ll examine the identities we hold, what we want to unmask and where masking actually serves us.
We’ll explore what introverted activism can look like and identify our individual versions of introverted activism.
This is for women and non-binary folks who feel the desire to…
Deepen into their true work, the work they've been evolving into but may not yet have named.
Cultivate resonant messaging that makes them (and others) feel alive in their work.
Unhook from what we’re told and do things differently, modeling their own form of leadership.
Connect with the soul of their work and use their voice, their message and their story to fall back in love with their work.
Take their place as Stewards of their lineage and their corner of our world.
It's for those who want to be in intimate community with other Quiet Leaders who are doing their own things in the world, as we grow together.
What We’re Here For:
Owning our part and doing our work to unpack and examine our privilege and impact.
Critical analysis around business practices and systems that oppress.
Activism and leadership that look different and expand the single story narrative (h/t Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie).
Building seasonal altars, celebrating the solstice, lighting candles and other witchy folk ways. ;)
The responsibility to use our leadership for something greater than ourselves.
But we also acknowledge that none of this works if we are self-sacrificing martyrs – that our wellness, vitality and joy in this one life matters as much as our impact.
The Structure

Meet Lisa, Somatic Self-Love Coach + Bridger of Movement & Self-Care
Lisa Thruston could feel she was on the cusp of something big in her business. She wanted to find her voice and speak authentically, without shame, so she could connect with her people in a way that felt natural and real.
“This has been my road map to step into my power as a Sensitive Soul Messenger. To really give myself permission to show up and be who I am...and turn that into messaging that resonates with me. It was phenomenal and life-changing. I didn't need a cookie cutter program to follow. I needed to know how to make messaging fit my personality and align with my values. Adria did that for me. It feels like a complete 180 for me. I know what sets me on fire now. I know in my gut that this will be a rockstar year for me and my business."
Meet MK, Designer & Lifestyle Coach + Advocate for #LifeinFullColor
Michelle “MK” Wood felt like she was in hiding because she was ALL over the place, putting out content without direction, and couldn’t talk clearly about what she did. When she got clear, it freed up mental space because she didn’t have to work so hard thinking about what to say.
“I love being coached by Adria! You feel like she really listens. Adria truly has a gift with words. She explains things in a way that is so understandable and uses all of her knowledge and experience to come up with amazing solutions. I'm no longer stuck."
Meet Alexis, Spiritual Coach & Fitness Trainer + Memoir Author
Alexis Billings was tired of potential clients price shopping (which felt painful because she knew the impact her work had on people’s lives) so she had set aside and written off her business. Within a couple months of reconnecting to and clarifying her message, she reignited her fire for her work and started bringing in clients again (and actually wanted to). “Holy shit that felt good!”
“Adria sees things for you that you may not have seen for yourself. Throughout the program, I was literally clapping my hands in excitement when Adria wrapped up trainings because I was having breakthroughs. Adria is a nice balance of let's get sh*t done and supporting you for where you're at. She knew how to ask questions to get me to dig or if I was blocked, her suggestions for me were on point as if she could take my thoughts and put them into words beautifully. This is one of the top investments I’ve made in my business. Adria has definitely found her gift and she will help you find the way to express yours."
Meet Sarah, Copywriter + Teller of Sensitive Soul Introverts’ Stories
Sarah Hennessey felt more comfortable behind the scenes and thought she needed to hide her neurodivergence. Then she felt the pull to be a coach and step out as a leader. She made herself her own role model - which let her talk about so many things she had never talked about publicly before. She learned that taking a stand is not about being super aggressive; it can just be confidently saying something meaningful.
“I love how Adria is an introvert and teaches from the heart for what works for her. She doesn’t push extroverted strategies, and she supports us in finding what works for us and always empowered us to dig deep. Adria understands messaging. It's more than just copywriting and more than just marketing, it's about connecting with people on a deeper level. And it's just not a single strategy that connects, she works with each of us individually to make sure that our messaging works and connects. That's pretty amazing."
FAQs
-
Short answer: yes. At my core I’m a message clarity coach and love to pull things to the surface, connect threads, put words to what was inside someone, and help cultivate an evolution in messaging that makes us feel expressed.
While messaging work will be happening organically throughout the program, the second part “Your Corner of the Web” is specifically focused on messaging.
During our Clarity Catalyst, you’ll have the chance to be laser-coached around your messaging or whatever part of your business or leadership you wish to bring to the call.
You can also choose to ask for messaging support during our Circling Calls. The Mighty Network group is a great place for written messaging support - I love when folks take advantage of this! And our Whatsapp thread can also be a good place to toss back and forth ideas in real time.
-
The Collective is ideal for entrepreneurs and leaders who've been doing their work for a while and know the ropes of how to do things.
While it's not for folks who are brand new to business, leading or using their voices, if you’re currently shifting, evolving or rebuilding the bones of your business in new ways and you resonate with the Rooted Collective, I invite you to join us.
-
You’re in the right place!
We’ll be doing the deeper work that comes when we already know the mainstream strategies and have shown up in our leadership.
This is for those who want to breathe soul back into their work (and do their work in quiet ways which may actually be counter-culture) so they can keep showing up for it. It's for those who want to be bolder in their message and mission and align their work with where they and the world are now.
-
Though a lot of quiet leaders are introverts, it’s not the defining factor. You can be an extroverted quiet leader. There are lots of sensitive, quiet folks who get recharged spending lots of time around friends and family yet don’t fit the loud, fast norm of business and leadership.
So if you’re an extrovert or ambivert and vibe with what I’ve written on this page, I say you’re likely a fit.
If you’re uncertain, feel free to reach out - happy to chat it out or reply to any questions or wonderings via email.
-
Along with coaches, I’ve supported healers, web designers, astrologers, speakers, consultants, and social media experts.
Most who join the group will likely be service-based entrepreneurs who are building their business online as the face of their brand.
That being said, at its core this program is for thought leaders, no matter whether you consider yourself one or how wide your reach or how big or small your audience. (Often getting CLEAR on your stance and showing up for it – which we’ll do inside this program – magnetizes aligned people to you and your mission.)
If what I’ve written on this page is resonating for you, it’s likely you belong with us. Feel free to reach out with any questions or chat through it!
-
While other business programs tend to focus on marketing and “getting” clients, this is for those who already know the strategies and tools, and are looking towards what comes next. And who are ready to actively unlearn some of those same strategies and tools so they can replace them with aligned, values-driven ways that leave them alive rather than robotic.
Rooted is a powerful hybrid of personalized coaching, kinship and intentional expansion and exploration in a cozy group setting. I run it in this format because it combines the best of personal support from me with the amplifying effect of circling.
There’s a lot of programs and courses that have hundreds or even thousands inside the group which makes you feel lost where you don’t have that feeling of connection. I keep my groups intimate -- it’s going to feel cozy, you’re going to get a lot of attention from me, and no one’s going to feel ignored.
There are also lots of groups where introverts and neurodivergent folks are gaslit, talked over or have to be louder to be heard, leaving them drained, not truly supported and even doubting themselves.
Here, there is no expectation to be someone you’re not. This is a place to exhale as you take your mask off. In a room of other quiet leaders, you can just be the quiet leader you know that you are.
-
You won't have to wait until the end of the program to be "clear" on what your work is evolving into. Your clarity generation will start as soon as we begin the program (sometimes even before! - past participants have found there's something powerful about putting your stake in the ground).
The length of the container is not just for tactical shifts made to your business or platform, it's about sinking down your roots and evolving into your form of quiet leadership. And that takes depth and space.
AND also, part of being Rooted – and my role in guiding this journey – is slowing down. That’s a gift quiet leadership has to share with the world and part of unhooking from the norms of business and leadership.
-
We’ll do a doodle poll to choose the exact time for our main calls, but they will fall sometime on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 10-3pm PST.
You will get the most out of this program if you attend most of the live calls because there’s something magical about the community that’s formed from being on these calls together.
If you need to miss a call, you’re welcome to submit questions ahead of time, and calls will also be recorded.
That being said, you'll also get support and feedback in our Mighty Networks forum and Whatsapp thread - from me and from each other. It’s an intimate group so your questions will be seen.
-
Mighty Networks is a platform for hosting groups online and functions much like Facebook groups. Like Facebook, you can access it via an app on your phone or on your desktop.
The difference is that it’s more neurospicy brain friendly, and when you pop into our group you won't have 5,000 other notifications dividing your attention and you won't get sucked into a rabbit hole. That can feel really supportive for us sensitive folks. (When I moved us from Facebook to Mighty Networks, participants shared that it felt more intentional and less draining or distracting.)
Whatsapp is a communication thread much like Facebook Messenger.
Based on past experience, our Mighty Network will likely end up being used for deeper back and forth support between sessions while Whatsapp will become for real-time connection & communication.
But also, there’s room to adapt to what works best for us as a group! These are simply tools to facilitate deeper support and connection.
-
Short answer: Yes. I trust your internal wisdom. AND having a guide to draw it out & a community of kin to help you see what’s possible can bring things deeper, faster. In the words of one person who came to one of my Gatherings of Quiet Leaders, “It was what I needed…that I didn’t know I needed.”
So if you’ve been journaling, monologuing to your biz friends, and soul-searching but you can’t.quite. land on it… Or if you’ve been stuck trying to apply advice that’s putting you in a box… Or if you’ve felt like an alien, isolated and wondering where your community is… Hi! We get you, we are you and we welcome you.
-
The investment for the Rooted Collective is $4,000 in full or 8 payments of $500. You will receive more than $12,000 in value, and your investment is a third of that.
This is my first time running this evolved iteration (though I’ve led masterminds for 7 years and will be ALL-IN), and it will inform what it looks like in the future. Thus you’ll have a more customized experience with lots of say, and you’re getting it at a lower investment. (past grads have paid $800/mo)
-
We begin in November 2023, and I'm currently gathering our cozy group. You can sign up through one of the payment buttons above. It’ll ping me, and you’ll receive a welcome email within 24 hours.
Or, if you have any questions or want to chat with me first (happy to talk through things!), feel free to reach out! I’m a deep processor myself, and I’m here to help it feel clear.
